Up for sale here is a Century Arms AK-63Ds. These rifles were made about 10 years ago, together with the AK-63D rifles, from Hungarian parts kits by Century Arms. These rifles, designated by the "s" suffix, were made on US made stamped receivers, with I believe, Green Mountain nitrided 16" barrels, with the standard "C" marked slant brakes and trigger groups, on non-matching Hungarian parts kits. This particular rifle is a nice example of one, it's got solid lockup on the underfolder, with no slop one way or the other. Magazine well wobbles some with certain mags, but locks up solid with others. This gun seems to like steel mags, and Bulgy polymers best. Would probably do fine with bakes, but I've never tested it. I've only put about 350 rounds through it myself, but judging by the wear I'd put the total life of this gun closer to 1,000 rounds total, maybe 1,500 if you nitpick every corner. The core components, trunnion, bolt, carrier, piston, are all Hungarian, and they're riveted nice and tight. The furniture is also original Hungarian hardwood, and shows some obvious wear in some high spots. The only thing I've replaced on this rifle is the rear sight, which was a Walmart-tier picatinny mount, with a Hungarian rear sight leaf, and the shephard's hook spring with a Red Star Arms FCG retaining plate. This rifle will include a Hungarian sling, 3-cell Hungarian pouch for 20 rounders, and four Hungarian 20 rounders, one of which has enamel paint remaining, the others have been refinished to a parkerized finish.
