Recently I have been on a Rhodesia kick and after I read Chris Cocks (yes that is his name) book Fire Force about his time in the Rhodesian Light Infantry where he discusses carrying a Star 9mm BM pistol as his duty side arm I knew I wanted to pick one up. The RLI also carried Browning Hi-Power 9mm pistols. After hunting around on GB I found this pistol listed as a 1911 .45 clone and managed to pick it up for $215 plus tax. The pistol cleaned up really well and shows SA Spanish police issue markings. The gun is a single stack single action and feels great in the hand. Range report to follow.
