Howdy y'all
I'm getting sent overseas so I have to let go of a lot of stuff I don't need. This is a RWC group 5.45 Saiga that was molested heavily by some redneck before she made it into my hands. I love difficult projects and my wife bought me this as a gift. Sadly Ive been notified that I'll be heading overseas for a few years so I have to let this go.
The bad:
Captain family shrub did multiple fucked up things. Starting with the most retarded he necked down the fsp down to the barrel to 14x1. He then half assed pinned the gas block and fsp. Afterwards he discovered that the tapco muzzle device would walk off so he welded the fucking thing on. He also decided to drill obtuse holes to mount more shitty tapco furniture into the front and rear of the receiver. Afterwards he tac welded a bullet guide incorrectly. I had to cut off the Gas block and fsp since they were beyond fucked. The barrel is fucked as well which was very disappointing for me to find at 11pm at night. Another issue that I've found is that he seems to have taken a punch to widen a trigger pin hole on the right side. Thankfully it seems the rear end was professionally converted however that didn't stop the dude from drilling a skewed hole into the rear end of the receiver and into the shitty tapco stock it had. Trigger guard didn't get a pass from him either and isn't straight. This needs a serious rebuild and a new barrel.
The good:
The gun is numbers matching. The bolt and carrier are in great shape considering age. I went ahead and installed a fresh Russian extractor on the bolt since I had it laying around. Firing pin is is great shape and when I tested headspace I was incredibly surprised to find that the headspace is amazing. I still have the Saiga gas tube and it'll come with the kit. I also have a Bulgarian gas tube that'll come with it that will be able to take proper furniture. The Bulgarian muzzle brake will come with it as well. She does need some serious TLC but it'll be a great gun after the fact.
I hate that I can't finish this out. I have to pack up quickly to get going so Im not gonna have the time to pull the barrel and correct the fuck ups. It is still technically a firearm since you can theoretically use it as a single shot gun. Price is shipped from my FFL but I'm open to hashing out price. Everything you see in the pics will come to you. I have a trench art RPK mag I can throw in as well for 90 bucks. I can't do trades so it'll be cash if you're local to Phoenix or digital payments otherwise.
