Price Check Price check on NOS Chinese Bakelite and Wood stuff

As far as values:
I just sold an Arsenal 386 upper for $100 and a Balkans Arsenal 26 lower for $50.
I just bought an Arsenal 66 dark red lower and 386 orange upper for $200.
Generally for full 56-1 bakelite sets in NIB condition with the 1919 grip, I have seen (and paid) $350.
The curved 1919 grips are somewhere between $125 and $150 - depends on the day / roughly the same for the straight grips.
I have three sets of undrilled black 84S-3A phenolic that I paid $350 each for last year. A guy just paid $400 on GB for the same set.
You wont get $500 for a 56-2 Bakelite set since you can get the stock scales from china for $35-50.

At the end of the day, this is a hobby.....If you want to get rich like a lot of the AK collectors now, feel free to add more onto those prices. Also be prepared for the stuff to sit.

Like for everything in the picture or as a set of furniture - upper, lower and pistol grip? I have a military Type 56 parts kit that needs it so I am motivated to buy it.

Its going to be a struggle to sell all of that at once and get maximum value. You might be able to sell to one of the resellers but they are going to demand a discount. Most other people wont have enough Type 56 rifles to make that investment make sense.

I purchased a bakelite lower from the Balkan conflicts for $100 6 months or so ago. Recently I saw jdubya selling a complete set of 56s-2 bakelite for $500 on akfiles. Not sure if he got that though. Would be interested in pieces if you decide to sell.
