I got this parts kit a while ago off EveryGunPart. It's a Colt Gold Cup National Match Series 80 MKIV 1911 in .45, of course. The bluing on the slide is very high quality, and all the parts appear to be from same gun, besides the 8rd Colt mag I purchased seperately. The parts all have a bit of wear, and the back strap part and the trigger bar are exceptionally worn with a decent bit of surface rust.
I believe this exact model was from the Colt Custom Shop, and the only other time I've seen one similar was a sold listing on guns.com, where the pistol had sold for about $2500. That being said, I haven't looked very hard.
I'm no expert on 1911s, and it seems that finishing an 80 frame would be labor intensive after milling, expensive after buying the required tools/jig, and it would take a while to fit/finish properly.
At the end of the day, I'm wondering how much this kit is worth to sell, how much it would likely cost to build, and if possible any advice around this model or a potential build.
