Outside of furniture, this is the biggest undertaking for AK modification I’ve gone through.
Welding was pretty frustrating with a shitty 110 flux core MIG welder. Using a copper backing definitely helped but it still hasn’t been great. I gained some confidence after some dremel work and blast cabinet. It looks good from my neighbors house anyway.
Still extra holes to fill with metal and switching to the front end focus. Not looking forward to cutting this dimpled FSP off. I’m still not sure if I want to pull the gas block off to install a true lower hand guard retainer or use the CSS clamp on style.
