Gun Talk Weird AK (ish) mag. No idea what gun it's for...

Bought this recently, and it seemed odd given the lack of horizontal ribs at the bottom of the mag. It also does not have a typical AK mag catch. It swims around in the magwell of all of my AKs, so it's smaller in overall profile than a standard AK mag.

It cleanly loads and feeds (admittedly by hand) 7.62x39, and 5.45x39 does not load or feed properly, so I am confident that it is a 7.62x39 mag.

It doesn't have the correct shape to be a 7.62 x 39 AR mag, and it doesn't fit in my SIG 556 (chambered in 7.62x39). It doesn't look like a mag for a Ruger MINI-30 either. The little plastic wing sticking off the follower is of note, but I cannot find anything definitive.

Anyone have a guess as to what this mag is to?

Thanks!

No need to guess, that looks like all the common aftermarket Mini-14 mags, and if you say it fits 7.62x39 but not .223, then it is 100% a Mini-30 mag. Not sure why you don’t think it is a Mini magazine, it literally has the exact front and rear locking surfaces they use. May or may not feed well, aftermarket mags are not known for reliability.
