Curious on if polishing the Bolt Carrier group and Hammer is actually a good thing to do on a milled Bolt carrier or if it’s a waste of time? I’ve started on my AK-103 with 1500 grip (removed Seracoat) but still have some leftover along with the slots that allow the BCG to sling in the receiver although haven’t felt much difference.

If you profile certain aftermarket triggers (Tapco especially), you get a SMOOTH return and it reduces the reset time. You won't get much from the carrier, except it looks GREAT lol

Polishing the hammer on an aftermarket FCG can help. Wouldn't worry about the carrier or rails etc. If it runs smoothly, then I would even worry about the hammer. Some of the Tapco and RAK-1 hammers can use a little work is desired, but really not needed.

I have a 69 Izzy build and the previous owner polished the hammer and the carrier. I honestly can't say I notice any difference between this rifle and my 87 Izzy that has an unpolished FCG (both are factory). I would probably just leave it as is. Let the gun wear itself in by shooting it. Ignore the red, it's just grease.
