Gun Talk High Standard Military H D .22LR Trainer

Details

I have been on a .22LR Military Trainer kick lately and scored this one on Gunbroker recently for a solid price. It came with two factory in the white .22LR magazines and the serial number dates it to 1947-1948. The Combloc tie in is these were used by the OSS and CIA during WWII and after in a suppressed version. Also rumor has it they were supplied to U2 pilots and Gary Powers had one when he was shot down over mother Russia in 1960. This one is not suppressed but is a cool piece of history and I love the bull barrel on it. Quite heavy for a .22 compared to today’s guns. Here is a link to the history and a few photos:

Gun Talk Rail discussion
Can someone identify this rail? It appears to be Zenitco but looks a little different.
Looking to get some Zenitco to larp in my moms basement with my wife’s boyfriend, any idea on who’s a reliable seller at the moment?
