Gun Talk High Standard Military H D .22LR Trainer

I have been on a .22LR Military Trainer kick lately and scored this one on Gunbroker recently for a solid price. It came with two factory in the white .22LR magazines and the serial number dates it to 1947-1948. The Combloc tie in is these were used by the OSS and CIA during WWII and after in a suppressed version. Also rumor has it they were supplied to U2 pilots and Gary Powers had one when he was shot down over mother Russia in 1960. This one is not suppressed but is a cool piece of history and I love the bull barrel on it. Quite heavy for a .22 compared to today’s guns. Here is a link to the history and a few photos:
