Gun Talk Polish Beryl / Tantal New Production Spring

I was able to get a quote on producing the small spring for one of the components for the Beryl and Tantal FCG. (I'll include a picture).

Would anyone be will to go in on this and order them with me? They quoted me $82 per spring for 10; they will become cheaper the larger the order. Hence my post.

I haven't seen surplus ones for sale and it looks like a lot of the tantal kits had them removed. The current FCG kits from APEX also had them removed.


Yes this is a deep dive into the AK tism, but I figure collectors of Beryl and Tantal rfiles would like to have this spring if they were to find an example of a incomplete FCG.

This spring is not required dor the FCG to function in a semi-auto rifle.

In my opinion, if you have the correct gauge/diameter of the wire needed for the spring, along with a detailed diagram including all the dimensions and angles, it would make a lot more sense to try to wind it yourself before dropping $820 on 10 of such a small and niche part. I'm certainly no expert in producing springs, but I'm sure there are guides on YouTube. My $.02

I definitely don't want to spend that much on a set of springs. I don't want the spring that badly. I'm hoping others want one and we can all go in together and get a cheaper price.

I've never made a spring before; I could try but I don't even have tools for springs. At least the other springs would be made by an actual manufacturer and not be junk.
