Looking for a face to face cash sale in Ohio....
Hard to find, so called, "Bulgarian refurb" SVT40. This is a rifle that did not go through the typical Soviet postwar refurb and still maintains all it's original stamped matching factory parts, including the stock. These were the earliest imports of SVT40 rifles and do not have any import marks (pre-1968 import).
This example is in excellent condition with a mirror like bore. Hard to improve on this one! This was probably built as a select fire AVT40 but has the SVT40 safety lever. The only difference in the SVT40 and AVT40 of this vintage is the extra cut-out in the stock and the safety lever itself. The lever physically just prevents the trigger from being pulled back enough for automatic fire.
It's interesting to see that Tula marked many of the small parts with a Tula Star and the OTK quality stamp.
Original Tula bolt carriers are stamped on the bottom with no numbering on the top surface
