Hello,
As the title states, I am looking for a complete and blued military Makarov slide. I have an IJ70-18AH, and I'm not a big fan of the adjustable sight on the slide. I'm cool with any single-stack military slide, whether it's Russian, Bulgarian, or East German/DDR (and would also be cool with a normal 9x18 IJ-70 slide if it doesn't have the adjustable rear sight as well). I'm not picky on country, but I would like to make my 18AH to look as close to a PMM as possible. My understanding is that the slide on the 17AH and 18AH are single-stack slides, and any of these military slides should interchange fine.

Check gun buster on gunbroker. They often have “parts repair kits” that have the slides. I got mine for like $110 there was a couple running last week they might be over now. IMG_3833.jpeg

Good thinking, thank you very much! I'm pretty sure I bought my Desert Eagle conversion kit as a "Repair kit" from them years back.

Basically I just typed in gunbroker general search “Makarov repair parts” 2-3 times a week until I found a surplus kit and just did like a $150 max bid. Usually the bidding seems to stall around that 110+ range. I was willing to go up to $200 I wanted one that bad for my double stack, but it’s what I had envisioned from day one especially with the “textolite” grips. Even though they weren’t actually a thing on the military PMM’s. I just wanted that overall aesthetic. I’ll keep my eye out if I see one I’ll drop you a PM

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I'm hoping for, too. I bought a set of those textolite grips for my 18AH from a company in the UK that bought them from their contact in Russia, and a military slide that doesn't have the adjustable sight will be the icing on the cake!

I did, unfortunately all Numrich had were IJ70 slides with adjustable sights, and RTG only had miscellaneous parts. I do appreciate the lead, though.

Don’t forget to change out the hammer and slide release to a surplus style as well (if you need some I currently have both for sale, nice plum hammers too). The new slide should have you set up with the proper surplus safety decocker.

I also stripped the parkerization off of the frame and re-blued mine so it matches the slide. Little details go a long way 👍🏻
